hey Nitish, went through your website and liked it much that I was compelled to leave comment on appreciation of your good work! As said, ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’… Or maybe even more! However, while going through your gallery I was wondering as to why have you pictured India so gloomy and sad …and amazed to see a picture of young ’snake and charmer’. The changing India is not reflectd in your pictures….Or maybe you are trying to portray the other side of it. Though I liked many other collections that you have. regards, Deepika

TREES The Structure of Life
U Stood there,
like a lifeless pillar,
with breeze around,
n friends in rear,
I asked them..
O grandpa dear,
do u got stories to hear..,
standing there in the cool ply..,
Ive seen the time fly,
Love, life, happiness, sorrow…,
Nothing that I had to borrow.
Been an abode,
and a fighting warrior..,
protecting you too.,
like a loving father.
Flowers, thorns, branches and leaves,
Everyone has lesson to give.
The feelings, the thoughts,
The recurrent doubts..,
and ever those surfacing bouts.
Remember theres horizons too,
In the clouds if u see them through.
Every journey offers some role,
No matter, meagre or bold.
And thats where lies the gold.
Cause its journey that matters..,
When destination untold.
your phototgraphs can make time stand still.. can’t say anythin more… just speechless.

Just sent a note to Carnaval SF with following comments: This is a most elegant composition and representation of Carnival from your website photo album. Yet…I have incorrectly voted on it with the five star system, selecting the set on the left instead of right side. The gold stars show up pale on my screen. How about screaming SOLID gold colored stars and text: Rating…5 gold stars are best. It may seem too careless on my part, but I just cannot image that this photo would be voted by others as 2.5 out of 5. Far too fine a quality. My compliments to Nitish Naharas, this amazing photographer! It inspires me to work a lot harder on my own photo composition. Have discovered his website at http://www.naharas.com/

Hi, really loved every picture of yours. Personally I love colors and the fact that you have ade the pictures so rich and vibrant, it impresses me. Not many people can bring about beauty and sunshine to their pictures. There is positivity and happiness, and poetry in each one of them. Me being a poet and a writer have found it especially appealing. Keep up the good work.. Best of Luck …Please do let me know if you add more pictures…Cheers …Puja

You are a credit to your native India and indeed, Indian culture! You are returning what India gave you educationally and culturally. From my having visited India on two occasions, I see your work as been totally on track! I shall forward your Website information to my friends in Ireland, Europe and elsewhere. Keep up the good work; I believe that through the passage of time, you have even greater potential. No doubt, you will have more quality of art to offer us about India.
December 1st, 2002 at 10:37 pm
Having once been an avid photographer, pangs of jealousy overcame me - wish I had done some of this. It’s not color, composition, or contrast, the mystery of your pictures is in the ’shadows’. Your monochromatic shots are the best be it trees, stairs or silhouettes. Great Job. Waiting to see the results of the 35 rolls from Pushkar.
November 11th, 2002 at 12:22 am

I was in a wrong impression that this is a big world, where you can lose yourself, and always been skeptical about the saying “its a small world”. After going thru your site and work, it made me realize, you just can’t runaway from yourself……….embrace yourself with joy and happiness, wherever you are…….. keep up the good work - Nitish.

I got to know about you through my younger sister. It is nice to know about your varried interests. “A painter told me that nobody could draw a tree without in some sort becoming a tree; or draw a child by studying the outlines of its form merely . . . but by watching for a time his motions and plays, the painter enters into his nature and can then draw him at every attitude .” These words came in my mind when i was going through your work.

Going thru your site was like reading poetry. Left me touched, moved, and philosophical. Particularly enjoyed the text that would describe each photograph, felt like the photographs themselves were speaking out. Was an amazing feeling.
April 21st, 2001 at 9:41 pm
Nitish Bhiaya,This is a great site…You have inspired me to build a site like this of my own. Perhaps I will be able to show it to you soon.
March 16th, 2001 at 10:36 pm
BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN AND DECENT LAY OUT. REFLECTS THE MIND AND INNER SELF OF THE CREATOR.
March 11th, 2001 at 11:47 pm
Was struck by the apparent simplicity but the inherent depth your photos emanate. The photos made an indian like me,who hasn’t gone out of the country and has alwayz taken its richness 4 granted, sit up and give it a proud(not jingoistic)thought. Thanx for that…. Sumita p.s. your photo taken on the bank of the ganga reminded me of a favourite poem by Boris Pasternak written on the Ganges. Hope u keep it up… sumita

Great site. You remind me of Nitish 17-18 years back ever so methodical and so artistic. I feel proud and privileged to have studied and spent considerable time with you. Photographs are great. My daughter is extremely impressed with your photographs and I have taken the liberty of copying some of them (the ones of schools and some more ..) Difficult to put in words the emotions I am going through while reading through the site GREAT WORK!!
